Societies and associations

A club, society or association may provide point links which are we'd assume reciprocal.

We chase and instate point links from all societies, clubs and associations you're a part of and guage the point link's creditability. A credible link is "Do Follow", it is not reciprocal, is not just an anchor tag of a url (but instead involving your keywords), is not bunched with many many others on a links only page and is linking to the correct landing page with the right url.

If it is blatently obvious that a point link from a club, society or association is paid for then it is useless in the eyes of many search engines. Our advice is - the easier the link, the more crummy it really is.

Payment for links in some circumstances is necessary - if topical, but walk away until it really matters to them, do your research and quote what others have paid.
