Your have to be careful paying money for memberships or 'safe shopper' certificates as they're seen by search engines as payment for links and nothing more.

It is important to ask what the value of a certification actually holds in the consumer/client eye. Is it merely a copied image? We think uncluttered web pages, visible awards, payment verified apps and investment in website design is a good indication to consumers of security.

If you have won awards and have subcriptions then we'll look for the ideal point link from them to your site. The jury is out however as to whether the safe to shop logos and links continue to reassure consumers and search engines.
